      1. How to enterTo enter the competition, participants must share their cutest or silliest pet photo on Instagram, use the hashtag in caption #SPARPetComp, tag @SPARThereForYou in the comments of the post and follow the Promoter’s Instagram Account. For any avoidance of doubt, any entries whereby the participant has tagged the Promotor’s Instagram handle in their post rather than in the comments of their post will not be included in the draw.
        1. Introduction

         

        • For the purposes of these terms, the “Promoter” is: A F Blakemore and Son Limited

        whose registered office is Longacres Industrial Estate, Rosehill, Willenhall, West Midlands, WV13 2JP whose Instagram handle is @Sparthereforyou. (“Promoter’s Instagram Account”)

         

        • By entering this competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

         

        1. Eligibility

         

        • This competition is open to all UK residents, age 18 and over on the date of their entry except employees of Promoter and their close relatives, its affiliates and group companies or anyone involved with the administration of the competition.

         

        • Only the first entry on Instagram will be eligible.

         

        1. Prize

         

        • The “Prize” will depend on whether the winner has a dog or cat. The winner can choose one of the Prize’s listed below:

         

        1. DOG PRIZE: these are based in either a small or medium sized dog:
        • Medium Sized 15kg dog: SPAR No1 Dog Can 415g totalling 60 cans for a month
        • Small Dog Food: SPAR N°1 Dog Can 150g totalling 60 cans for a month.

         

        1. CAT PRIZE: this is based on a 4kg cat:
        • SPAR N°1 cat pouches 100g totalling 120 pouches for a month.

         

    • No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.

     

    • Any entries received from private accounts on Instagram cannot be entered due to privacy restrictions. To enter from a private account, you must amend your account settings to a public account in order for the entry to be accepted.

     

    • You must ensure you enter from a public account that remains on a public setting with the entry remaining visible for 4 weeks after the end of the promotional period.

     

    • You must not click to unfollow the Promoter’s Instagram Account until the competition has ended, otherwise your entry will be invalid.

     

    • Any comments or tags deemed as inappropriate by the Promoter will not be counted as a valid entry. For example, comments containing profanity or in breach of the relevant platform’s terms and conditions.
    1. Competition Period

     

    • The competition is open from at 12:01am on 17th March 2025 and ends on 31st May 2025 at 23:39pm GMT. Entries outside of these times will not be valid.

     

    1. Winner Selection and Notification

     

    • All valid entries on Instagram will go into a draw and the winner will be selected at random within five working days of the competition’s closing date. The winners will be selected via a randomised computer process. Winners will be contacted via direct message by the Promoter’s Instagram Account within 7 working days of the competition’s closing date.

     

    • If the winner does not acknowledge/respond in 48 hours, a replacement winner will be selected.

     

    1. Claiming the prize

     

    • Winners must supply name, address and a valid email address when claiming their prize to allow for delivery of the prize. Failure to provide this information will result in a void entry and a replacement winner will be selected.

     

    • Prizes will be organised for delivery within 28 days.

     

    • Upon receipt of the prize, the winner agrees to submit another photo of their pet along with the prize on the Promotor’s Instagram page.

     

     

     

    1. Liability

     

    • The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, damaged, illegible or corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

     

    • To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition shall be limited to the cost of the Prize in question. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

     

    • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. By entering the competition, you accept you have no claim against Facebook or Instagram. The information you will provide will only be used for the fulfilment of this competition, unless you have agreed to use it for any other purpose.  By entering this competition, you agree to a complete liability release for Facebook and Instagram.

     

    1. Standard terms

     

    • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

     

    • Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

     

    • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

     

    • By entering this competition, you are consenting to your details being used on the Promoter Instagram and Facebook page(s) in any publicity material, as well as your entry. In the event that you do not consent, please contact the marketing department via email on marketing@afblakemore.co.uk.

     

     

    • In compliance with the Advertising Standards Authority CAP Code, we intend to make available the surname and county of residence of any winner. The winner’s surname and county of residence will be displayed via a comment on the competition social post within one month of the closing date. Entrants can object to disclosure, or requested that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting the marketing department via email on marketing@afblakemore.co.uk. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority, if required to do so.  You may request a copy of the winners list by emailing the marketing department via email on marketing@afblakemore.co.uk within three months of the close of the promotional period.  We reserve the right to refuse any or all such requests.

    Jurisdiction

    1. The competition and these terms and conditions are subject to English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
