What you'll need:
For the Cake:
- 67 g granulated sugar
- 60 g butter, melted
- 180 g all-purpose flour blend
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 180 ml milk
For The Cinnamon Swirl:
- 60 g butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 30 g brown sugar
For The Cinnamon Glaze:
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 120 g powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Method:
- Grease a cake pan and keep it aside.
- Mix together 2 teaspoons baking powder, flour, granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a bowl.
- Stir in remaining cake ingredients until well combined. Pour batter into the greased cake pan.
- For The Cinnamon Swirl: Mix all three ingredients for cinnamon swirl in a small bowl and spoon over cake, swirling it into the batter by using a butter knife.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C, for about 26 to 28 minutes.
- Once done, take it out and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- For The Cinnamon Glaze: Mix together all the glaze ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over the cake.
Notes: you can substitute cake recipe with vanilla or even chocolate cake mix (store bought). Homemade option would be healthier. This recipe can be served for breakfast as well as a dessert course.
