Tuna Pasta
Our Tuna Pasta is the perfect combination of tuna, aromatic garlic, and al dente pasta cooked to perfection. A delicious family favourite that’s perfect for those busy weeknights and makes the most of store-cupboard staples. 😋
What you'll need:
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 20ml olive oil
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 280g dried pasta
- 1 tin tuna
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- ½ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp dried oregano

Method:
- Fry the onion in the olive oil in a frying pan on a low to medium heat for 20 minutes so that they are a light caramel colour.
- Add in the garlic and oregano and stir, making sure it doesn’t burn.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, seasoning, sugar and balsamic vinegar and allow to simmer on a low heat for a further 20 minutes. Be careful to make sure your sauce doesn’t boil.
- Meanwhile cook pasta according to the pack instructions.
- When the pasta is almost ready, flake the tuna into the tomato sauce and allow it to warm through gently.
- Combine the pasta with the sauce and serve.
Top tip: Cook an extra portion to use for your lunch the following day, or batch cook the tomato sauce and freeze ready for another time.
